The strict measures that Marin County employed to minimize the spread of the coronavirus have proven worthwhile. Marin continues to fare relatively well, as evidenced in the latest Marin Health & Human Services COVID-19 status update, published on May 28.

On May 22, Marin Recovers Industry Advisors provided new guidelines and the “green light” for businesses within five business sectors to begin plans to reopen. Businesses in these areas must complete a site-specific protection plan that incorporates the new guidelines before reopening their business. They include:
- Golf Courses and Racket Clubs
- Outdoor Recreational Activity Businesses
- Recreational Equipment Rentals
- Summer / Sports Camps and Child Care

For the week of May 18 - 25, 2020:
- 49 homes were listed on Compass Coming Soon in Marin
- 84 homes were listed for sale on the MLS
- 41 transactions closed
- 172 properties went in contract
We continue to attend weekly calls to monitor the market and the regulations concerning COVID-19 and home sales. It is widely expected that the traditional "spring market" has been pushed back to summer. Compass CEO
Robert Reffkin had this to say:
